Sexual Abuse at Penn State

Allright, I'm only going to go off about this once... at least I'll try...

I want to know when, in this country, this state, this county, etc. the well-being of children will be a priority. I am confused as to how football, college, the reputation of coaches and winning streaks out weigh the welfare of children. Years ago, yes, the sexual abuse of children was a taboo subject, it made people 'uncomfortable'. But why is it that a person can be convicted, blasted, fired and held accountable for beating a child, starving a child, neglecting a child... but people continue to close their eyes and do nothing when a child is sexually abused?? I feel NOTHING for those bastards at Penn State~ no sympathy, no empathy, NOTHING. I don't care how old the 'people' involved, I don't care how well they coached, I don't care how many goddamn trophy's and money they brought to the school.

Nothing will EVER get done when it comes to the sexual abuse of children until people stop closing their eyes and turning their damned backs on children.
